Getting there by car can be tricky, with insufficient signage and a very steep 400-500 meter walk to the main square. The bathroom sink had a noticeable sewer odor due to the lack of a U joint, which could easily be fixed.

However, navigating our way from the train station proved challenging, as the suggested routes involved steep hills, making it a strenuous walk at times. Additionally, the small parking space could be tricky for those less experienced with parking.

The staff helped me find a yoga instructor for a morning session in the garden. It was nice to practice outdoors. I recommend allowing time to walk to the town, as it's a bit uphill. I appreciated the attention to detail and overall atmosphere. Being from New York, these experiences are what I look for.

I had an incredible time at this hotel. it was just a short and pleasant walk to quinta da regaleira and the center of town, so i could easily explore the beautiful sights without any hassle.
